My friends, it is Halloween weekend and already I am feeling the crush. Currently sitting in front of me, almost literally is Ratchet and Clank which I have to play for review, Borderlands, which I have to finish for review, God of War Chains of Olympus, which is the first time I have ever played a God of War game, and on top of all that, Uncharted 2 and Team Fortress 2 are both having special Halloween themed multiplayer. There are as we say in the business not enough hours in the day. Tomorrow is not only the devil’s favorite holiday, but also my mother’s birthday(which might explain a few things). I’m thinking of setting her up with a dedicated Team Fortress 2 server and I’ll wish her a Happy Birthday that way.

Speaking of dedicated servers I wasn’t on last week’s episode of Bullshot! so I could not properly weigh in on the Modern Warfare 2 dedicated server news. Look, I hate to break it to you guys, but dedicated servers are intimidating. It took me almost 10 minutes to find a proper game of Team Fortress 2 yesterday that wasn’t playing by some bizarre house rules, or didn’t kick me automagically for being too low of a level. If you want PC games to have longevity then you need to be able to welcome new players in with open arms, and that is not what happens once the community becomes a series of inside joke dispensing dedicated servers. Bravo to Infinity Ward for being ballsy at every turn with Modern Warfare 2.

Have you ever had technology blow your mind? Think about this. My first computer had a 1GB hard drive. When the PSP-1000 came out, a 1GB memory stick pro duo was over 100 bucks. I just bought an 8GB memory stick for my new PSP for $34. That’s a memory stick 8 times the size of the biggest one you could get at PSP launch and 8 times the size of the hard drive in my first computer on a chip about the size of my thumbnail for less than half the price. Mind Blown.

Thanks for reading, but honestly guys, you’re wasting my time. I have games to play. Lots of games to play.
