The beta for OnLive is… well live. Early beta testers who survived the rigorous qualification process are now able to test what OnLive has to offer. If you are unfamilar with OnLive, it is a server side gaming experience. That means you don’t need any phsyical media to pop into your machine. You do not have to download the game to your hard drive. You simply log in, pick a game and it loads the game on their servers, and you play.
If this plays without lag, or without connection issues, it very well could be the next revolutionary jump in playing games without media. Early reports from people who tried the demo at E3 were all very positive. So, if you are a beta tester please let us know what you think of it.
