PlanetSide 2 In The Works?

Sony Online Entertainment makes a first person shooter MMO called PlanetSide. I know? I never heard of it either*, but apparently enough people are still playing it that Sony sent a survey to current players asking what they would want out of a game that would “expand the PlanetSide Universe” and “guide the development and direction of the next hit Massively Multiplayer Online First Person Shooter”. So that sounds like a sequel to us. We wish them luck, a good FPS MMO sounds on paper like a good idea, now someone just needs to make it work.

*That’s a lie, I’ve played it, it’s a joke, calm down.

    I’m actually thinking about reactivating my WoW account yesterday, and the only reason was that I talked to an old college buddy that still plays. I think that the most important aspect of a long term MMO addiction is the group of people you play with.

    I agree with Quark. I was a master system kid,then mega drive, jumped to sony, bought a n64 and a cube after the ps2, got a ps3, and my bro has a 360. My dad, my mum, my brother all played console games and only my sister played pc games and we all looked at her strangely. Outside of retro style games like vvvvvv, I’ve never played pc games. My friends don’t play pc games. Hell, my friends hardly play games anymore. So there’s never been that friend incentive to an mmo for me and consoles have been bred into me.

    Whats the best mmo i’ve played? Borderlands. Or Too Human. I love these loot and quest based games. I went right off rpgs but white knight chronicles has an online co-op aspect to it thats very enticing to me.

    What I’m saying is, I would love to mmo if I had the friends and the know how. Also, I only own a laptop so I lack a gaming rig, and have no real idea what would work on this and what wouldn’t. Its not that new,maybe 2 years old.

    I’d love to see for WoW or a major mmo to come to consoles. I think maybe then I could jump on the bandwagon, but for now,despite articles like this, bieng a non pc gamer has always made me feel a bit out in the cold on this kind of fun, but I love these fauxmmo’s like borderland, and I’d lvoe to share that kind of experience on a grander scale.
