Borderlands Hit With Co-Op Issues, Shortages

Gearbox has a thread going on their official forums admiting that the PS3 version of the game is having co-op issues. The game is having trouble recognizing friends on your friends list who are playing the game, and it’s taking up to 30 minutes to find a public co-op match. Gearbox says they have identified the problem and are working on a fix, but we have no ETA.

Meanwhile, in “it’s a good problem to have” news, the game is maybe a bit more popular then anticipated. The west coast is having shortages of the PS3 version while the east coast is having Xbox 360 shortages. Gearbox says that the problem is with allocation, and that the game should be showing up in stores again as early as this weekend.
