The lucky kids over at Kotaku not only got to play BioWare’s upcoming Fantasy/Action RPG Dragon Age: Origins, but they also got to see the revolutionary new online features they have implemented for the game. BioWare is launching a social website that will let you see not only your characters progress, but anyone else who is playing the game’s progress. Since the game takes many different turns and paths, each player’s story is going to be different and the social website will allow documentation of those different stories.
As you complete quests in the game an adventure log will begin to be filled out, it will read very much like your character wrote it. As if you had stumbled on pages from characters personal journals. This feature works for all 3 platforms, but PC players get an added bonus. Whenever they complete milestones such as killing a boss the game will upload a screenshot of their character performing that action. This screenshot will accompany the entry in your character’s journal. Pretty interesting stuff, hats off to BioWare for making a single player adventure feel less lonely.
