I can’t promise that will be the last time I make a Modern Warfare joke about the new Medal of Honor, but I’ll try. Seriously. Ok, on to the good stuff. That Medal of Honor reboot we heard so much about? It’s true, in fact there is the box art. It is set in present day Afghanistan. You play as a Tier One Operator, who are supposedly real actual military people who “take on the missions no one else can handle” or whatever. EALA is developing the single player and working with actual Tier One Operators to give it “the most authentic modern war experience”. It’s supposedly based on an actual event. That’s pretty cool. Now I know what you’re asking “but Jim, how can it be better than Modern Warfare 2 when Modern Warfare 2 has that amazing multiplayer”? Well, that’s where DICE comes in. The Battlefield franchise creators are handling the multiplayer. Allowing EALA to concentrate on a robust single player campaign, while DICE uses their multiplayer expertise to craft great multiplayer. We don’t have a release date, but the first trailer for the game will debut during December 12ths Spike TV Video Game Awards. So, maybe that’s when we will get our release date?
