Well it was only a matter of time, on April 15th not only will Xbox Live no longer work on the original Xbox, but all Xbox 1 games including games that play on the 360 will also lose access to the service. That means games like Halo 2 and Counter Strike will no longer be playable on Xbox Live. Microsoft says that this will help to expand the current service(we’re assuming they will remove the ridiculous 100 friend limit)and was not made lightly.
A letter to the community was written by Marc Whitten and can be read here. He says that more details are coming soon. We’re guessing either at this months X ’10 event in San Francisco or E3.
