Announced today for Xbox 360 and PS3 (with PC details coming soon), Ghost Recon Future Soldier looks to reinvigorate the Ghost Recon franchise with ”cutting-edge technology, prototype high-tech weaponry, and state-of-the-art single-player and multiplayer modes.” Developed by the GRAW team, with multiplayer help from Red Storm, Future Soldier is expected this fall. A multiplayer beta has been announced as a pack in to the forthcoming Splinter Cell: Conviction on 360, but no details on how PS3 owners will take part.
GRFS huh? That’s unfortunate.
UPDATE: But wait, there’s more. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot also dropped the news that all platforms will be getting some Ghost Recon love. In addition to the 360 and PS3, can expect to see the franchise turn up on the Wii, DS and PSP. Now no one is left out, happy?
