Warner Bros Interactive has bought up the part of Rocksteady Studios that wasn’t already owned by Square Enix Europe(SEE). SEE maintains a 25.1% interest in Rocksteady, but now WBI owns the rest of it. It was only a matter of time until someone swooped in(Batman?)and purchased Rocksteady after the commercial and critical success of last year’s Akrham Asylum. With the announcement that Warner Bros was going to publish Arkham 2 it was a safe bet to assume it would be them, but now we have confirmation. It will be exciting to see if Rocksteady pursues any original IP or does justice to another licensed product after they wrap up Arkham 2.
