Batman: Arkham Asylum Game Of The Year Edition In 3D![UPDATE]

Thursday, March 4th, 2010

CVG is reporting that the Game of the Year edition of Batman Arkham Asylum will be in 3D! The game will contain a pair of glasses for use with the TriOviz 3D technology. The technology is usable on both SD and HD TVs and does not distort the picture or the colors of things it makes 3D. What I’m trying to say is, is that the game wont look blurry or two different colors when you take the glasses off. As many of you know, I wasn’t a huge fan of Arkham Asylum, but getting another play through in 3D definitely sounds intriguing. The game of the year edition is due out March 26th in Europe, I can’t find a firm release date for the US, but hopefully it’s around the same time.

UPDATE: Joystiq is reporting that the GOTY edition of Arkham Asylum is NOT coming to North America. The 3D technology is also not being patched into the game. So looks like you’re going to have to figure out a way to import and play a EU copy if you want to experience Batman’s best video game outing in 3D.

I played this on the 3D monitor a few weeks ago at MicroCenter for PC with the giant 3D usb glasses. It does look blurry without the glasses. Pretty sweet though.
