Why? Why has there not been a rush of employees leaving Infinity Ward in the wake of the firing of studio heads Jason West and Vince Zampella? According to a source that talked to Kotaku, it’s because Activision is withholding their royalty payments. Similar to the reason West and Zampella claim they were fired, to keep Activision from having to pay them royalties on Modern Warfare 2, employees are now claiming the same treatment. Stay and hopefully get your royalty check or leave and don’t receive what is sure to be a ridiculous pay out. Infinity Ward hires employees at less than normal wage with the promise of big royalty checks from the incredible sales of the Call of Duty franchise. So far there has been no comment from either Infinity Ward or Activision on the matter.
