In case anyone was wondering if Nintendo was feeling the financial sting of 2009, don’t worry about it; they’re doing just fine. According to Joystiq, an SEC filing shows that 23% of all “new product purchases” for fiscal year 2009 were from the Big N. So despite talks of Nintendo sales slowing recently, I’m pretty sure they are going to be ok as long as they have one of the largest game retailers in the world spending nearly a quarter of its capital on their products.
Sony was in second place, accounting for 17% while Microsoft and EA were tied for third with 12% each.
