While attending the Kevin Conroy (voice of Batman) Spotlight and briefly speaking with him after, we were able to grab a few details on the upcoming Batman: Arkham Asylum sequel. Conroy let us in on the fact that there are going to be “a lot of villains” in the follow up and let one in particular slip: Two-Face. Conroy didn’t get too specific as to what type of presence Two-Face and the others will have, just that there would be plenty of them. Other than that, Conroy let everyone know that the game will get pretty dark and heavy. The first Arkham was fairly dark, but it seems that this will take it even further. He directly compared it to some of the darker scenes in the uncut version of Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker.
Conroy also let us in on the fact that the game will take a lot of twists and turns. While there are going to be a lot of villains, he says that the Joker is still the main nemesis. With all the twists that happen in the game, Conroy said it was even hard for the actors to keep track of everything. “It’s gonna freak you out,” Conroy told us, talking about the ending. Overall, he seemed really psyched for the game and said that he definitely thought it was better than the first. I know that I’m excited for this game, which Conroy said they may be prepping for this Christmas, or next Spring. Check back for any other details we uncover this weekend.
