Here’s a new trailer for Dead Rising 2, which will be in stores August 31st. Capcom has also spilled the beans on the game’s co-op mechanic. By pressing right on the d-pad you can call in a partner at any time. This is only doable online and cannot be done on one console. Also both players will earn experience points, but only “player 1″ will be able to save their progress. When “player 2″ goes back into their game, they will have not made the same progress they made while playing with their friend. The announcement of co-op in the game has me excited. I never played the first game because I heard the difficulty ramped up a bit too much. To be able to play with someone who’s an old Dead Rising pro like Fish will definitely make things easier to swallow for a rookie like me.
