You are looking at the fruits of a partnership between the American Heart Association and Nintendo. The AHA has officially endorsed the Wii, Wii Fit, and Wii Sports Resort as evidenced by this image which is the new box the Wii comes in. The partnership also launches a new website activeplay.com which will teach people how to get more active in their daily lives. The Wii being a centerpiece of an active lifestyle. It’s a pretty slick move and while I’m not sure video game players are suddenly going to be healthier it’s a step in the right direction. Just think if we all played Wii Sports for an hour a day, we might actually be healthier people. Who could have seen that coming?
