Well we here at 4PC HQ are divided on what we think of Playstation Plus, but maybe after you get “all the deets” you will know exactly how you feel about Playstation Plus. Starting June 29th Playstation Network members can pay $49.99 for a year of the service which will get them, free PSN games, Minis, PSOne Classics, DLC, a subscription to Qore, and early access to betas and demos.
That’s not all, subscribers will also get Automatic Downloads of trailers, demos, and things that Sony feels you definitely need to have on your Playstation 3 pushed directly to you from the service.
Another new feature is Try Before You Buy which will let you play one hour of a game and then give you the ability to buy the game right then and there and have it downloaded to your PS3.
At launch subscribers will receive a copy of Wipeout HD, Fieldrunners, Rally Cross, and Age of Zombies. Also available will be a try before you buy version of inFAMOUS, as well as premium themes, avatars, DLC levels, and map packs. Like we said it will cost $49.99 a year, but if you sign up starting June 29th through some undetermined date you will get 15 months of Playstation Plus for your money. Still not convinced? $17.99 gets you 3 months of service. Hopefully we will know more soon about what DLC and Map Packs are included with your subscription.
