Zipper Interactive announced that starting in September MAG will become Playstation Move enabled. Not a huge shocker seeing as how Zipper’s SOCOM 4 will also be Move enabled. Will this make the game better? We don’t know for sure, but it could be interesting. Speaking of things getting interesting Zipper is also going to release a new beta test for some sweeping changes to the game. Starting Tuesday August 24th you can download a new beta client for MAG to test out some new features, they include:
- Escalation Game Type — battle it out with all three factions at once on three never-before-seen maps
- New Weapons — each PMC has access to three new guns (9 total) for added firepower
- Clan Deploy — a highly-requested community feature that allows clan leaders to launch games with up to 128 clan members in a single match
- Updated Skill Tree — enjoy more customization than you’ve ever had before with new skills and an improved progression system
- In-game Economy System — earn “credit points” by completing objectives and killing enemies to purchase new weapons and gear
- Additional Character Slots — Create a persona for Raven, Valor and SVER on one account for maximum testing flexibility
There is one catch, you must own a copy of MAG to participate, the game must be in your Playstation 3 when you start up the beta. I love me some MAG and haven’t played in a while, I’ll definitely have to fire up the beta next week. Stay tuned!
