Insomniac Games dropped the double-trailer bomb today at Gamescom. Not only did they unveil the trailer for Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One, Insomniac had a pretty big teaser for the crowd in the form of a Resistance 3 trailer. However, instead of giving us any actual gameplay or cut-scene footage, they’ve opted to jump on the live-action commercial bandwagon. The result is something both starkly beautiful and eerily inviting. Channelling a little Night of the Living Dead and Cloverfield, this little clip really makes you wonder why we can’t get a decent video game adaptation.
From what we do see in the trailer, it could be speculated that the game will make stops in New York and possibly St. Louis. The trailer also appears to focus heavily on a group of travelers. The group aspect really stood out to me, and makes me wonder if four player coop is back from the second game or if a more Left 4 Dead style of gameplay is in the works.
What did you guys think? Would you have rather just seen gameplay? Will this little trailer be better than the game itself? Any other clues or predictions to be made from what we see here?
