On the heels of Target’s announcement of adding a used electronics trade-in program to their business, Best Buy has launched its own nationwide trade-in program for games, systems, and accessories. While Best Buy has been testing the trade-in waters, this is the first we’ve heard of a nationwide roll-out. Comparing trade-in values at Gamestop and Best Buy reveals that Gamestop is offering slightly higher trade-in values. Best Buy must be banking on its product diversity drawing gamers through the doors. Currently, shoppers can take advantage of the new program at 600 locations and, as expected, more locations will be added in the future.
