These proceeds go on top of the $3 million Activision donated to honor Veteran’s Day and to celebrate the record breaking sales of Modern Warfare 3. In the epic struggle for shooty-man dominance, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 has banned over 1600 cheaters. This taking place in the wake of Battlefield 3 banning “hundreds” of players last week. Both Infinity Ward and DICE have proclaimed a zero tolerance policy for cheating, but Modern Warfare 3 takes the cake again on this one. And if there’s any correlation at all between the number of cheaters playing, and the number of copies sold, then we are in for a world of ‘invincible under the map dude’ induced pain.

Furthermore, to honor Veterans Day (formerly known as Armistice Day) and all Veterans alike, Activision is donating $3 million to the Call of Duty Endowment. It is a non-profit, public benefit corporation that helps veterans find and train for jobs and was conceived by  Bobby Kotick, CEO of Activision Blizzard. So congratulations to the teams behind Modern Warfare 3.

According to the official website, registration has been over capacity and people are having trouble signing up. Activision is well aware of this problem and they are “working around the clock to increase [their] capacity as quickly as possible.” They also want to assure the hundreds of thousands of players who already registered that their gameplay data is being recorded and will be ready for them whenever they have the chance to look at it. Until then, just have some fun killing other players online. That’s what we all bought the game for anyways, right?

Details are scarce right now, but One of Swords is reporting that there will be a Men in Black game published by Activision that will be released sometime next Spring. The only details given were that the game will be “true to the spirit of the franchise,” and “the original title will feature action-packed, yet light-hearted gameplay mixed with edge-of-your-seat shooting excitement.”

The game has been stressed as an “original title,” suggesting it will not be based on the Men in Black movie that is currently in production. A teaser image has been released, and I’ve had a team of professionals analyze it, and they have confirmed – there will be shooting and aliens.

However, a game winning reward isn’t the only thing that’s getting nixed. According to a tweet from @fourzerotwo, the Commando Perk, which increase the distance of a melee attack, will not be featured in Modern Warfare 3. So, all this means is that you are going to have to be closer to another player to STAB THEM WITH A KNIFE, but you know some people will be upset about this. Should they be?
