If you’re in the market for a new fight stick this holiday season, or just want to pretend you have an arcade in your living room, look no further. Capcom and Hori have announced an official US release date for their upcoming Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 arcade stick.

On December 8th, the aforementioned behemoth of a joystick will be available for both the PS3 and Xbox 360 in two renditions (white buttons or colored buttons) and can be purchased directly from the Hori store. Each will set you back $149.99, a fairly standard price tag for fight sticks these days.

Dimensions are as follows:

16:9 inches long

9.4 inches wide

4.9 inches tall (including stick lever)

4.9lbs

9.8ft cable

So there you have it. Yet another solid looking fight stick in what is an ever increasing market. I’m perfectly happy with my MadCatz stick, but I can’t say I won’t be a little jealous when I see one of these bad boys in action. How about you?

It seems as though they will be adding a cool new feature to the game: Being able to delete your save files! This is a feature that they left out of Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D, and they received a lot of flak for it. They claimed it had nothing to do with preventing used game sales, but we’ll probably never know for certain.

In addition to that awesome news, they let us know that Resident Evil: Revelations will also utilize the Circle Pad Pro. They haven’t made any plans in terms of releasing a bundle for the device that comes out in Japan on December 10th. However, we still haven’t received a release date for the device in the US, but you can pick up the game on February 7th.

Do you think that we will see a Resident Evil/Circle Pad Pro bundle?

If you were looking to do your cooperative monster hunting online, prepare to be disappointed. Capcom has confirmed that their upcoming 3DS title, Monster Hunter 3G, will not support online co-op. As detailed on their support page, the game will still use the internet for downloadable event quests and items. If you want to play cooperatively with others however, you’ll need to do so locally.

As fans of the series are already aware, Capcom has a history of doing this with its portable Monster Hunter games, and I can’t say I get it. Co-op is an almost necessary part of the experience, and it seems rather short sighted to omit it for the mobile versions, especially in the case of the Nintendo 3DS, which promised improved online support as a key feature. So far that hasn’t been the case. We can only hope that this isn’t the shape of things to come, and developers will start taking advantage.

What do you think? Is this a deal breaker, or do you prefer to hunt alone?

Ninja Theory likes keeping their fans up to date when it comes to the reboot of the Devil May Cry series. Not only did we get a trailer from E3 this year, but they were also kind enough to give us a new one for the Tokyo Game Show going on right now. The trailer from TGS shows the things you’ve already seen, like Dante juggling demons in the air with his sword while in Devil Trigger mode, but you also see him using a new chain weapon to ensnare enemies and bring them closer. He also appears to use the chain as a means of getting around by using it to swing from one area to the next. However, don’t let that fool you into thinking it will be a platform heavy game. Above all else, the action was the focus, and it’s looking really good.

They have to constantly pick fights with people from other game realms, like SNK or Marvel. Soon they’ll be starting to bully Namco with Street Fighter X Tekken. The “X” is pronounced “Cross.” How soon will this showdown take place? Capcom is saying the game will be available on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 during the Spring 2012 timeline. Some are suggesting late March because they’d want the game out before the end of their fiscal year on March 31st.

Street Fighter X Tekken will include some online features fans of Street Fighter IV may recognize, such as an endless battle mode, a replay channel, and incoming challengers during arcade mode. There are also promises of a few “surprises.” Do you think they throw some Mortal Kombat characters in there as well? Maybe Soul Calibur. How about someVirtua Fighter characters. Oh. OH! What if they reference Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 and toss some X-Men into the mix? Sorry. I meant “Cross”- Men.

When it was first announced that Nintendo would be a major sponsor of this year’s Vans Warped Tour, I was more than a little shocked. It didn’t seem like an obvious fit. Why would the biggest video game company in the world want to attach themselves to a tour full of under-developed bands? The fact of the matter is that Nintendo has a product out right now that you need to see to believe, the 3DS. Armed with a giant tent full of 3DS demos and a staff eager to educate attendees of the tour, Nintendo’s presence at the Warped Tour might be one of the smartest moves they make all year.

It will be hard for attendees to miss Nintendo at this year’s festival. They have not one but two tents, and they are even sponsoring one of the larger stages. They are also handing out temporary tattoos, which by the end of the long day at the Chicago stop, were plastered all over the concert-goers. The tent holding the 3DS demo kiosks was, by far, one of the larger tents on the festival grounds. Inside were plenty of 3DS units running full versions of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, Super Monkey Ball, Resident Evil: The Mercenaries, Super Street Fighter IV, and Dead or Alive Dimensions. Additionally, the staff was having a blast showing people the AR games.

I got hands on time with a few of the games, but since none of them were very new or exclusive to the tour, I’ll just say this: Super Street Fighter IV looks fantastic in 3D, Dead or Alive Dimensions felt unnecessary in every way, and Resident Evil: The Mercenaries was pretty boring and didn’t effectively use the 3D. AR games are still fantastic, but there has been little to no mention of new AR content, so far.

The most interesting thing about my time in the booth was the way the people manning it were handling perspective players. When I picked up a 3DS that was running Street Fighter, I was immediately approached by one of the staff. He then started asking me if I like fighting games and whether they were “my favorite type of game.” I told him I played all types of games, that fighting games weren’t my favorite, and that I wasn’t even good at them. That’s when he pointed out that most special moves could be performed on the touch screen. I assured him that these were things I knew, and he left me alone. However, it was cool to see how educated they were about the hardware and the software.

He then asked my wife what kind of games she liked, and when she responded “Angry Birds,” he took her on a tour of the AR games. These seemed to be the thing people in the booth were most excited about.

A couple of minutes into my time with Dead or Alive Dimensions, the same guy asked me what I thought. I told him the 3D seemed unnecessary, and he agreed with me. This, quite honestly, shocked me a bit. I figured he would want to hype me up on the 3D and get me excited for the system. It was pretty refreshing when he didn’t try to explain why the 3D actually made the game better.

At first, Nintendo at Warped Tour didn’t make a whole lot of sense, but after watching concert-goers stream in and out of Nintendo’s tent, and seeing the look on their faces when they picked up a 3DS for the first time, it all clicked. Nintendo needs to get this device out into the world and in front of as many faces as possible. While it may not be the target demographic for the system’s buyers, all these kids have parents and now their kids will ask for a 3DS or show their parents the glasses free 3D. It’s hard to believe it works, but the proof is there in the big Nintendo tent at this year’s Vans Warped Tour. If the tour is coming to your town, be sure to stop by and check it out. It’s one of the best ways to get a large amount of time with the device and truly decide whether or not the 3DS is for you.

So Capcom is celebrating this with a box set and some HD remakes. Japanese fans are getting those remakes on one convenient disk, while US fans of the franchise will be able to download them separately via the Xbox Live Market or the PSN.

The San Diego Comic Con has revealed a few new things about these remakes. Resident Evil 4 HD will be become available on September 20th, and one week later, Resident Evil Code: Veronica X HD will come out on September 27th. Furthermore, these remakes can be bought separately at retail stores as well. However, we still do not have a price for them. How much are you expecting them to cost, or what will you be willing to pay?

Today is certainly an exciting day for fans of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Not only was Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 announced, but the roster of the 12 new fighters was also leaked. UMvC3 (as the cool kids call it) will feature 8 new stages, a few tweaks in the balance, and a spectator mode.

Also, thanks to the forums on NeoGAF, we know who the 12 new fighters will be. In Capcom’s corner, we have Firebrand from Ghost & Goblins, Strider Hiryu, Nemesis, Vergil, Phoenix Wright, and Frank West. On Marvel’s side of the fight, there’s Hawkeye, Ghost Rider, Dr. Strange, Iron Fist, Rocket Raccoon, and Nova.

Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 will be available in November at a “mid range price” for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.
