Listen closely everyone because I’m going to let you in on a secret. There’s this website that very few people know about called Amazon, and they occasionally have really good sales. The sales are for music, movies, or…frying pans and stupid stuff like that, but sometimes they have sales on videogames. Tomorrow is going to be one of those glorious sales. No, not the frying pans! Video games!

Starting at 12:01 A.M. Pacific time on May 18^th, Amazon is going to have one of the coveted Gold Box events that feature video game products all day. The item that’s on sale will change every few hours, so if you don’t see something you want when you first check it out, make sure to head back in a couple hours to see if the new sale item will tickle you gaming fancy. You can also try deciphering the clues they give to predict what items are going to be on sale next. Now, try to keep this information between us. We don’t want Amazon going all mainstream.

Wii owners, it’s your time to shine! Tomorrow on Amazon, an entire day of Gold Box goodness will be dedicated to your precious motion machine. However, before we get ahead of ourselves here, we don’t have the clues yet to try and guess what will be up for grabs tomorrow. These Wii events can be a mixed bag sometimes. We could a whole string of great first-party Nintendo titles along with a solid smattering of the best third-party stuff, or we could get just one or two good games and then a total crap-pile of useless controller accessories and fitness gadgets. I guess we’ll find out tomorrow, so cross your fingers and get your credit cards ready just in case!

First of all, let me just start by saying that I know your ol’ pal the Broke Gamer has not been as attentive to all of you lovely readers as he should be, but hopefully today’s deal will more than make it up to you. If you head on over to Amazon Video Game Deal of the Day right now, you can get your impoverished little digits on a brand spankin’ new copy of the incredible God of War 3 for only $36.99. You read that correctly, but just in case it isn’t sinking in let me just hammer it in. God of War 3, the same one that the 4PC Review Crew gave their highest rating of “Classic” to, the same one that is one of the best games for the PS3, the same one where Kratos kills lots of dudes, can be yours for less than forty bucks!

And as a bonus deal, Best Buy is having its share of online deals for games in celebration of Father’s Day. While there is a pretty big variety in the quality of titles offered, there are some pretty great steals here on games you may have missed. You’ll definitely have to sort through some crap to get to the goodies, but some great games like Mirror’s Edge can be found for only $9.99. There’s over 100 games on the list total, so click here and give it a look.

Ok, I know I’m a little behind on this one today, but I’ve been a busy little impoverished gamer the last few days. But hang on because today is a good one. Head on over to the Deal of the Day section on Amazon because they are doing an all Xbox 360 Gold Box Event right now. The main deal is Bioshock 2 for only $39.98. PS3 players can take advantage of that price as well. However, the Lightning Deals are all 360 today. The clues hint towards some pretty solid purchases, so keep your eyes peeled all day.

Alright kids, here’s the deal on this one. If you’ve ever browsed the content on this site for more than five minutes, you will know it’s no big secret that your pal, The Broke Gamer, holds a mighty big spot in his heart for the Caped Crusader. However, this particular deal carries a bit of mixed emotions with it. Let me explain. You can head on over to Amazon’s Deal of the Day right now, and pick up Batman: Arkham Asylum for $29.99 in either console flavor. Awesome, right? Yes and no. What is most likely happening here is that they are just clearing out these copies to make room for the 3D Game of the Year Edition that currently has a May 11th release date. So while I would never deter you from purchasing one of the absolute best games of 2009, just know that another edition is just around the corner. Choose wisely!

I know it’s early, but wake up and smell the savings! Today is your day PS3 owners as Amazon is running PS3 Lightning Deals all day long. The current Deal of the Day is Dante’s Inferno which your crackerjack 4PC ReviewCrew wasn’t so nice to, but seriously it deserved it. But if you’d like to find out for yourself just how “not God of War” Dante’s Inferno is, you can score it right now for $38.99 on both the PS3 and 360. Then the all-PS3 Lightning Deals kick off at 8a.m. Central Time and run the rest of the day. Looking at the clues, it looks like we’re going to see some Batman, Lego Indiana Jones and probably some UFC amongst other things. So go ask your mom for some money, walk your neighbor’s dog, mow the lawn or whatever other legal activity you do for money, and click here to get in on the action.
