For the automotive enthusiast, there are really only two games that capture what they love. Forza is one of them. So, what better collector’s edition could be given to lovers of all things auto than one that includes a lot more cars. The Limited Collector’s Edition of Forza Motorsport 4 was announced today on the game’s official website. Here’s the good stuff:

The site also says there will be “a ten-car add-on pack featuring a selection of the best classic American muscle cars,” along with custom-designed BMW cars, including the 2012 BMW M5. There’s also a 96-page book about some of the cars, along with some vinyl stickers. That’s a decent amount of extra content in the collector’s edition. Is it enough to push you into getting the collector’s edition when it ships October, 11?

Once again, Forza 4 made an appearance at this year’s E3. In addition to new details on Kinect integration, we got a release date. All you gearheads can get your hands on the game on October 11. During the video, we also saw a rundown of features including an “epic” career mode, over 80 manufacturers, and the aforementioned Kinect integration which will include head tracking. While the head tracking did look cool, it seems a a bit odd that a game is asking you to move your head to move the camera, forcing you to peek over with your eyes to see the screen. Remember how just yesterday I said that Spike TV was the only place that you could watch Microsoft’s E3 press conference? Well, that’s not entirely true. Microsoft has launched their E3 website, a hub for all of the latest Microsoft goings ons at E3. You can even stream the conference live on the website. I’m sure once the event starts the site will be constantly updated with all of the latest announcements and game videos, but right now it’s kind of stale. The only thing that is apparent on the site is that Forza 4 and Gears of War 3 will have a major presence at this year’s show, but that’s kind of a no-brainer. Of course, you can always check in here during E3 for all of the latest news as it breaks.

Well here it is, your Xbox 360 Holiday bundle for 2010. Included for just $299 is a 250GB Xbox 360 S, Forza 3, and a DOWNLOAD token for Alan Wake. That’s right no disc in this box, you get to download the full game. The bundle is shipping to stores as I type this.

There was a bit of confusion yesterday when Microsoft showed a Kinect enabled Forza game. The name of the game was never revealed, some thought it was Forza 4 and some said it was Kinect Forza. Well today we got some screenshots of the Kinect enabled parts of the game, and they are listed as Forza 4. I sent an email to Microsoft to find out what we are supposed to be calling this game, in the meantime I’m going to assume it’s Forza Motorsport 4, but you know what happens when you assume…..

In the meantime check out all the Kinect integration, integrated into that dashboard.

There’s some pretty good stuff there especially Borderlands: The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned which Fish and I just reviewed. Forza 3 gear for my avatar might be fun, if I cared enough about racing, but maybe you do. Although if you like the game, like I do, you’ll appreciate a Road & Track DLC pack. Left 4 Dead Crash Course DLC will be a sane price for at least a week, so pick that up before you pick up the Left 4 Dead 2 DLC.

If you’re anything like Fish and I you came late to the Forza 3 party and missed out on the limited edition version of the game. A token inside the box granted you VIP access to the game. That meant exclusive cars, special designation on leaderboards, weekly erotic massages, and your car auctions went to the top of the list. Well Turn 10 and Microsoft have decided to offer up the VIP membership for 800 MS Points, but they aren’t doing it just to make a buck. No. Proceeds from the sale of VIP memberships will go to benefit Save the Children’s Haiti relief efforts. So become a VIP and feel good about it. Nice work Microsoft.

However, we aren’t done yet, in an effort to make a buck, the three DLC packs that were included free inside new copies of Forza 3 are now on sale for 400 MS Points a piece. That includes the Sidewinder Proving Grounds track, the Benchmark High Speed Ring Track, and the Motorsport Legends Car Pack. So basically, 15 bucks gets you all the in box DLC for the game. Hmmmmmm…..that sounds familiar.
