Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 Revealed; Roster Leaked

Today is certainly an exciting day for fans of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. Not only was Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 announced, but the roster of the 12 new fighters was also leaked. UMvC3 (as the cool kids call it) will feature 8 new stages, a few tweaks in the balance, and a spectator mode.

Also, thanks to the forums on NeoGAF, we know who the 12 new fighters will be. In Capcom’s corner, we have Firebrand from Ghost & Goblins, Strider Hiryu, Nemesis, Vergil, Phoenix Wright, and Frank West. On Marvel’s side of the fight, there’s Hawkeye, Ghost Rider, Dr. Strange, Iron Fist, Rocket Raccoon, and Nova.

Ultimate Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 will be available in November at a “mid range price” for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Marvel vs Capcom 3 Pre-order Bonuses Pose Tough Decisions

Capcom’s European website has showed us the bonuses you’ll get for pre-ordering Marvel vs. Capcom3, and there are a lot of them. The catch? Each one is exclusive to a different store! Deciding what store to pre-order the game from won’t be easy.

BlockBuster, Game, Gamestop, HMV, TheHUT, Xtravision, and the remaining local independent stores will all be getting a different T-shirt as the bonus. ShopTo is getting a special Marvel vs Capcom 3 comic that is full of artwork and the entries from the winners of the contest they had. Finally, GameStation is getting a steel case to replace the regular packaging. The steel case will feature the art of Marvel artists Joe Ng, Alvin Lee, and Shinkiro. How are you going to decide which pre-order to get? While there’s no official word on US bonuses yet, I assume I’ll be going with the “eeny meeny miny mo” method.

Good news nerds! Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 will be in stores on February 15th, 2010. Hopefully they will have a midnight sale on the 14th, because lord knows you’re not going to have a date that night. So gather up all of your friends anime dolls and get ready for the game you’ve been dreaming about since before you thought girls weren’t icky, Marvel vs Capcom 3!

Not only that, but you’ll be able to grab a special edition of the game that includes a mess of goodies. $70 will nab you two downloadable characters, Jill Valentine and Shuma Gorath, one month access to Marvel Digital Comics Unlimited, a steelbook case, some art cards, an art book and a comic. Not too shabby, right?

E3 2010 has also brought us a new teaser for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds. While we don’t get any gameplay footage here, it’s only a teaser. However, it does do what every good teaser should, and that’s get you amped up to see more.

The Playstation Blog has posted this trailer for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3. The long demanded sequel will hit stores in Spring of next year, but I’m sure Capcom has a year of trailer and fighter teases in them. So don’t worry, it will be just like you’re playing the game. Also if you want to start speculating about who’s going to be in the game, MTV Multiplayer has some guesses.
