Nintendo At The 2011 Vans Warped Tour

When it was first announced that Nintendo would be a major sponsor of this year’s Vans Warped Tour, I was more than a little shocked. It didn’t seem like an obvious fit. Why would the biggest video game company in the world want to attach themselves to a tour full of under-developed bands? The fact of the matter is that Nintendo has a product out right now that you need to see to believe, the 3DS. Armed with a giant tent full of 3DS demos and a staff eager to educate attendees of the tour, Nintendo’s presence at the Warped Tour might be one of the smartest moves they make all year.

Sonic Generations Demo Available Now For 20 Days

Sonic turns 20 today! To commemorate this, a demo for the upcoming Sonic Generations game has popped up on Xbox Live and supposedly the PlayStation Network. I say supposedly because at the time of writing this I still couldn’t find it on there, although it is definitely on XBLA. The demo lets players run through [...]

New Rise of Nightmares Trailer is Sufficiently Creepy

The upcoming Kinect-only game Rise of Nightmares just got a new trailer to show off some of the games creepy imagery and first-person gameplay. It looks like players will be using their own hands to wield a variety of weapons from a pipe to a chainsaw, as they try to survive one night inside the [...]

Sega released a statement saying that information for 1.3 million subscribers of the Sega Pass online network had their information stolen. While no credit card information was taken, the security breach included names, birth dates, email addresses, and passwords. While [...]

Aliens: Colonial Marines Coming ‘Spring 2012′

First there were doll heads, then there were Pulse Rifle Replicas, now there is a “date”. Sometime during the Spring 2012 window, Aliens: Colonial Marines will be coming to Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. In addition to a date, Gearbox and Sega released the first teaser trailer which, unless you are a fanboy like [...]

Is ‘Aliens: Colonial Marines’ Going To Be At E3?

Kotaku’s Stephen Totilo got some interesting mail today. While most of us would buy a gun if someone sent us a charred doll head, Totilo, as well as any Aliens fan, knows that this is no ordinary charred doll head. This is the charred doll head that Rebecca Jorden (aka Newt) totted around the LV-426 colony [...]

What Is ‘Aliens Infestation’?

Oh Australia, you just can’t keep your mouth shut. A game called Aliens: Infestation was classified yesterday (or maybe it was two days ago – time zones confuse me) by the Australian Government and, as of right now, we don’t know anything about it. As Joystiq has pointed out, Way Forward (the studio responsible for the [...]

Anarchy Reigns Pushed To 2012

Bad news Platinum Games fans the company’s latest Anarchy Reigns has been pushed to January of next year. The game was scheduled to be released late this year, unfortunately that is no longer the case. No word on why it was delayed, but it’s possible it caught a case of Modernwarfare3itis.
